It's a Wonderful Life

A live radio play by Joe Landry

Jean Rahner, Director

Performance Dates: November 14, 15 & 16, 2014 at the Pioneer Barn Theatre, 229 San Marco Ave., St. Augustine.

A traditional Holiday favorite, "It's a Wonderful life" is told onstage as a live 1940's radio play. Versatile performers employ vocal talents, sound effects, old-time commercials, holiday songs, to re-imagine the tale of George Bailey. In addition to actors, there will be a cameo appearance by a local personality to portray a cop in one scene.

Some memorization, scripts in hand.  We are seeking 4 males and 4 females to play multiple roles:

  • Freddie Filmore, age 30-60

  • Jake Laurents, age 30-50

  • Sally Applewhite, age 25-35

  • Lana Sherwood, age 25-40

  • Harry Heywood, age 30-60

  • Carol Sands, age 30 & up

Also seeking Stage Manager/Foley sound effects - any age (male or female)

This holiday production will be a fundraiser for A Classic Theatre to help fund future productions of classic, historic and new plays.  For more information contact the director, Jean Rahner, at jtrahner@gmail.com
